Participant-Based Studies

The involvement of the Tasmanian community in Menzies' research has been one of the hallmarks of the Institute's success since its establishment in 1988. Tasmanians have shown a great willingness to step forward to take part in research projects. Scientists are researching specific illnesses with the help of study participants in dozens of projects. The careful design of research projects means that study participants often need to meet very specific criteria.
