Scholarships and Awards

The University of Tasmania offers research scholarships to suitably qualified and highly motivated applicants to undertake research higher degree studies at Menzies Institute for Medical Research.

Research topics of Honours and PhD students currently studying at Menzies focus on some of the most common and chronic diseases affecting Australians today.

We currently have projects available for Honours and PhD students in a number of our research programs and projects.

We encourage all Honours and PhD students to apply for scholarships but please be aware of the closing dates for all scholarships. Visit Graduate Research for closing dates and further details.

Applicants may be Australian citizens, permanent residents or international students. International students may be required to pay tuition fees. They should hold at least an upper second class Honours degree or equivalent with a major from a relevant discipline, such as health, social, biological or biomedical science, psychology or mathematics. Applicants must be able to work cooperatively in a multi-disciplinary team.
