The AirRater smartphone app, led by Fay Johnston and David Bowman (Biological Sciences), has been launched in the ACT, nicely timed to catch the spring sneezes and wheezes. AirRater gathers the user’s symptoms and matches them with the environmental conditions at the time, building a picture of potential environmental triggers for asthma, hay fever and other lung conditions. AirRater will be deployed in the Northern Territory next year. Find it in the App Store or Google Play.
